Great spot for coffee and ambience. Flat white was really good (I got two!) and the music was just right for a Saturday afternoon. Service was peak — super friendly and helpful.
Very nice neighborhood coffee shop. Very friendly and informative staff. Reasonable prices for Manhattan. Cash and credit accepted. Street parking only. Coffee is very delicious and the shop's atmosphere is very casual and relaxing. Definitely a great spot for any coffee drink. Not sure what to get just ask and the staff are more the willing to help. I found Proof with my GF when I moved to the neighborhood in 2022. It was THE spot. Loved their Vanilla Cinnamon Oat Lattes and Lemon Loafs. However, since a couple of months ago the quality of their drinks and the atmosphere in the store has really seemed to deteriorate. All of the baristas that used to be there, left. And new baristas were hired. They are short staffed at times, with only one person working the register and making drinks leaving the worker flustered and rushing their drinks. I noticed flies around the pastries, and their plastic-ware lids never close properly and the coffee leaks. I understand that there is high turn over in coffee shops but it has really affected the quality of their products. Sometimes I will go in to see if anything is getting better and sadly I have not noticed any improvement.
Fabulous espresso and staff was amenable to adding a splash of both skim and whole milk, per my request. Very cozy vibe, nice bright windows, reasonable prices, a bathroom and Wi-fi! They had some nice music playing at a low and reasonable volume.
A sweet and cozy coffee shop. The roasts smell heavenly when you walk in. Staff was very polite and welcoming, as were other patrons. A lot of seating to relax and sip or work and read.
I found this place by word of mouth when I reported to teach at my summer school site. Staff are friendly and responsive to special requests. There’s a little seating in the back and Wi-Fi for laptop warriors. The coffee is very good. On those days my wife drove me, she’d get a coffee too.
I also recommend the chocolate chip cookie (slight salt garnish accentuates the chocolate).
